Cosmetic Dermatology Services
Neuromodulators such as Botox, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and others are an effective cosmetic treatment used to improve lines between the eyebrows, on the forehead, smile lines by the eyes, and other areas on the face. These products work by blocking nerve activity in the targeted muscles only and cause a temporary reduction in muscle contraction. Most neuromodulators last approximately three months, and results will vary depending on the individual.
We use only FDA-approved neuromodulators. We offer several different brands to ensure our clients get the best results.
Dermal fillers restore lost volume, smooth lines, soften creases, and enhance facial contours. They may be used in many areas of the face including lips, jawline, chin, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheeks, tear troughs, and others. Dermal fillers can last between 6 to 24 months depending on product selection, amount used, and variance in individual metabolism.
We use only FDA-approved dermal fillers. We offer different brands and product selections to ensure our clients get the best results.
Thread lifts use dissolvable polydioxanone (PDO) threads to lift and tighten the skin. They also aid in the production of your body’s natural collagen. Unlike surgical lifts, PDO threads are noninvasive with no downtime. Thread lifts can be performed on several areas such as cheeks, jawline, brows, temples, and the neck. They may even be used for different areas of the body. PDO threads typically last 12 months but may last as long as 36 months in some cases. Results will vary depending on the individual.
We use only FDA-approved polydioxanone threads.
IPL (Intense Pulse Light) Therapy
Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a non-ablative photorejuvenation treatment that uses high-intensity pulses of visible light to improve the appearance of freckles, flat age spots, spider telangiectasias, broken facial vessels, rosacea, small red veins of the legs, facial lines and wrinkles, and unwanted dark hair. IPL may also be helpful for mild or moderate acne and stretch marks. This type of photorejuvenation requires a series of treatments.
Similar to lasers, IPL systems emit light energy which is absorbed by target cells (chromophores) in the deeper layers of the skin (dermis) without affecting the top layer (epidermis). The light energy is converted to heat energy, which causes damage to those cells. Unlike lasers, IPL systems deliver many wavelengths of light in each pulse instead of just one wavelength. The treatments are not as destructive as ablative laser resurfacing, where both the dermis and epidermis are injured to produce an outcome requiring significantly more recovery. The advantage of IPL therapy is its minimal downtime; patients can often return to work immediately after a treatment. A series of three or more treatments are often required to achieve desired results.
We use an FDA-approved injectable product that permanently destroys fat cells in a targeted area. The most common treatment areas are under the chin (double chin), abdomen, thighs, knees, underarms, and buttocks. When one gains body fat, existing fat cells increase in size before new cells are formed. Therefore, if one’s body composition remains relatively stable, the reduction in fat cells may be permanent. Most patients require a series of three or more treatments to achieve desired results.
